Carbon sequestration is very promising to combat greenhouse effect and global warming. It has the possibility, if the technical restraints are overcome, to minimize the carbon emissions at low levels. However, there must be no inapprehen-sion. As long as the fossil fuels are the dominant energy sources, the problem will remain due to the fact that the most efficient CO2 minimization "technique" is the CO2 low productivity. Tables 16.2 and 16.3 give a complete analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the various sequestration methods described in this work.
