Calculation

We followed IPCC Tire 2 method for N2O estimation. The specific calculation is as follows:

Livestock husbandry part

Amount of livestock excreta N (Nexcreta), volatilization (Nvolatilization), utilized part (Nuse), and disposed part (Ndisposed) were calculated as follows:

Nvolatilizationi = Nexcretai * V - N2Oexcreta (40.2)

Nusei' = (Nexcreta' - Nvolatilizationi) * Ui (40.3)

Ndisposedi _ (N excreta - Nvolatilization0 * (1 " Ui) (40.4)

where BU is the basic unit of N excrement per head of each kind of livestock, V is N volatilization rate (%), and U is utilization rate (%) of each kind of livestock in each year. N2Oexcreta is described below.

Crop production part

Chemical N fertilizer (Nchemical) and manure (Nmanure) application for each kind of crop were calculated as follows:

where A is planted area, CF is chemical N fertilizer application per planted area, and AR is rate of application for each crop type.
