Habitat

Species occurrence increases with rainfall to reach an optimum around 2700 mm/yr (logistic regression analysis, Chi2 test). It is usually found in dense forests and close to water (e.g. creeks, rivers, or near swamps). It occurs in mature forest, as well as in clearings, along roadsides, forest edges and secondary forest.
