Geotechnical Investigations

Geotechnical investigations may be used to establish the soil and groundwater conditions at the site. At Mandeville, Louisiana, about $15,000 was allocated in 1989 for site surveys and soil borings in the wetland area. The approximate updated cost for surveying and soil borings at the Mandeville wetland site would be about $1100/ac (1997 dollars).
